Lovely new poems, Soror O & Seferoth! I'll share one from a couple years ago, my first attempt to write directly in English.
*
your gravestone is still as shiny
as the latest phone
I keep thinking
of planned obsolescence, your
organs failing like cheap electronics
disposable gynoid that you made yourself into,
that you were made to make yourself into
would rather lick batteries than eat
sunlight crushes me where I stand,
the fluorescent sky
drowns me
the way I feel your presence is the way I feel
the presence of plastic in my bloodstream
aluminum-light, coltan-futile
in cities built of reflecting surfaces
faces in the mirror
are prison walls
